Après avoir accusé les paparazzi de gâcher la vie de Britney Spears dans une récente interview, Avril Lavigne a décidé de les prendre à leur propre jeu...

Pour les besoins de l'émission Pop Fiction, présentée par Ashton Kutcher, la chanteuse canadienne s'est prêtée au jeu de la caméra cachée pour piéger la presse et les sites web américains.

Des rumeurs sur la possible grossesse d'Avril Lavigne avaient parcouru les médias il y a un mois. Avec son mari Derick Whibley (chanteur du groupe Sum 41), elle s'est donc livrée à un shopping dans diverses boutiques de vêtements pour bébés, vêtue d'un tee-shirt assez ample pour semer le doute.

Pour réussir son coup, la rockeuse s'est baladée dans les rues les plus en vue de Los Angeles. Et cette mascarade a bien fonctionné, puisque la presse a relayé la rumeur dans les plus bref délais.

"Ça m'amuse car ça montre au public comment les fausses rumeurs se répandent. C'est totalement hors de contrôle. Et, pour une fois que l'on peut piéger les médias, ça change un peu", a-t-elle déclaré en souriant.
